Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights

About the SRHR Program: Implemented in April 2023, the Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Program is a pioneering initiative by the Cambodian Women for Peace and Development (CWPD), generously supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This program is a testament to our dedication to the vulnerable, with a spotlight on Female Entertainment Workers (FEWs) across Phnom Penh’s seven Operational Districts (ODs). In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our 2024 objectives are ambitious yet achievable: Educate 38% of the 10,000 FEWs and refer 600 women with essential health services in Phnom Penh. Achieve these goals with the unwavering support of our 16 outreach workers, field staff, and a dedicated program coordinator.
Our Vision: We dream of a world where every FEW is recognized and supported, receiving equitable reproductive health care and social protection. We pledge to uphold their dignity and rights, ensuring a society that nurtures their health and well-being in a confidential and respectful space without discrimination and cohesion.
Our Mission: Our mission is to empower FEWs by providing equitable access to comprehensive reproductive health care and social protection services. We stand as advocates for FEWs’ rights and well-being, creating an inclusive environment that safeguards their dignity and privacy.
Our Goal: Our goal is to bolster the reproductive health and overall well-being of FEWs. We are committed to broadening the reach of human rights-based reproductive health services and social protection, making a tangible difference in their lives.
Our Strategic Approach: We are unwavering in our efforts to enlighten the community about reproductive health, rights, gender-based violence, and social protection. Our program is designed to facilitate seamless referrals for FEWs to high-quality services, ensuring a non-discriminatory and confidential experience. A pivotal element of our work is aiding FEWs in navigating the healthcare system, utilizing the Health Equity Fund (HEF) for extensive coverage and support.
